Toshin Rao is a post-postmodern filmmaker specializing in the absurd, surreal, and simple. Influenced by animation, films of the early-to-mid 20th century, and classic literature, Toshin Rao hopes to tell a variety of timeless tales. Toshin primarily shoots his projects on 16mm motion picture film.

Originally from Seattle, Washington, Toshin is currently based in Los Angeles, California. On top of his short films, Toshin works as a camera tech, storyboard artist, first/second assistant camera, and film loader.
